For the past decade, Chicago-area native Courtney Cook has served residential clients in the very neighborhoods where she grew up. Working in the luxury hotel industry early in her career gave her the fortitude to work with a diverse range of discerning real estate clients. “I grew up on the North Shore, moved to the city for a number of years and then came back here to raise my children, so I understand how much clients appreciate my experience and ability to help them navigate plans for their own families,” she says.
Cook works with first-time homebuyers and empty nesters in Chicago’s North Shore, Evanston and Highland Park markets. Her clients note that her ability to personally and seamlessly get them from contract to close and beyond makes all the difference. They also remark that her ability to wear multiple hats for them pairs beautifully with her skill in mitigating surprise issues that could otherwise cause anxiety during the transaction process.
“In the residential real estate world, you are selling a lifestyle,” says Cook. “I absolutely love my job, and I love finding clients the perfect home or getting them an amazing offer so that they can move into the next chapter of their lives.” A member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, Cook feels that her abilities in reading people, assessing their needs and always finding a creative solution have led to her success. She also prides herself on her technical savvy, compassionate communication and drive for results, which she sees as qualities that aid her goal of building a business to last a lifetime.
A family-oriented mom of three, Cook strives to bring that same connection and balance to her business. As she notes, “I treat every client like I’d treat my own family.”
