Specializing in the North Side, with clients all across Chicagoland, the Chicago Crib Team at Compass is a group of dedicated agents who are in the business of creating partnerships with their clients for life.
Founder Tony Mattar built his career working with first-time homebuyers but now focuses on first-time buyers all the way up to luxury purchases. “I got into the business sort of by accident,” Mattar says. “A friend owned his own brokerage and thought I would be a good fit in real estate. I decided as a 24-year-old that worst case, I would learn about an industry that I knew nothing about, and best-case scenario, I would love it and continue on. Luckily, the latter is what actually happened.”
Teamwork is a vital component of the Crib Team’s success. Agent Idallys Corral is a hardworking leader with a never-give-up attitude, and agent Kelly Rountree is the ultimate team player who’s always the first to raise her hand and pitch in to help the team. Finally, Jatzirit Hernandez, the team’s marketing coordinator, has an eye for all things cool and keeps the team’s marketing efforts fresh and vibrant. “All of the ladies have become like family to me, and our shared success is what gets me out of bed in the morning,” Mattar says. “I’m driven by my desire to help these ladies live the biggest lives possible.”
The Crib Team made RealTrends’ America’s Best Real Estate Professionals list, which ranks them in the top 1.5% of Realtors in the nation. This huge accomplishment could not have been achieved without the hard work and determination of all four agents on the team. In addition, Mattar was named one of the top LGBTQ+ sales professionals by RealTrends in 2021, and is also a member of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.
In addition to their personal successes, Mattar and his team also love to give back to the communities they serve. He founded Men of Chicago Real Estate, a nonprofit organization that raises money through the sales of charity swimsuit calendars.
