With nearly two decades of lending experience and hundreds of millions in volume, Tariq “TK” Khwaja, SVP of mortgage banking with Blueleaf Lending is driven to help finance the dream of home ownership – and his love of helping others is what powers the engine.

“I had a pretty modest upbringing and developed a passion for service early on,” Khwaja says. “What I do opens doors for individuals and families to create the largest asset of their lives and leave a legacy for their kids and grandkids.” Today, Khwaja has built a team of skilled individuals that together bring 30 years of experience to the table, and clients love the “white glove service” they get from Khwaja.

“My client reviews often mention common themes,” he says. “They feel like I am thoughtful and understanding of their goals – and I put processes into place to ensure we achieve those goals for them.” While this foodie and successful musician may be singing the blues in his off-work hours (he’s performed at the House of Blues in Chicago before), he brings a creative eye and compassionate ear to his client interactions. “We’re finding them a place to call home and that carries so much meaning.”
