Although Julian Levit has only been in the real estate industry for a short time, he’s already making moves in Chicagoland’s market. After only less than two years as a Realtor, Levit has already doubled his business and gets “a ton of love from [his] sphere and referrals.”
Levit, whose family immigrated to the U.S. from the Soviet Union to escape persecution in the 70s, grew up in the northwest suburbs but was always drawn to Chicago. He started out at the University of Illinois for environmental science but realized it wasn’t for him. He then pursued his own vape distribution business with some friends, but they had to change gears when the Juul pod epidemic began. He asked his own Realtor how he got into real estate and “it’s been an adventure ever since.”
As a part of the Grober Group, Levit believes “it’s imperative for newer agents to find a mentor they jive with and can show them how the business works.” He recommends new agents join a team and find the right mentor for them, preferably one with at least 10 years of experience.
Levit takes the time to explain the market to his clients and never beats around the bush. He also likes to keep things fun and take away stress from his clients. “I’m not a salesman, I’m a home advisor,” he exclaims. “I’m honest and I’m here to tell you what not to buy. If the deal is really good and makes sense, then I’ll tell you this is a good buy.”
Levit says his availability and work ethic are what set him apart from other Realtors. He insists that he can outwork anyone. “I go over the top with service. I’m very easy to get ahold of and I out-hustle everyone. Night or day I’m always available,” he says. “I answer my phone within 10 minutes of getting contacted 90% of the time, whether it’s 6 a.m. or 10 p.m., it doesn’t matter. My clients need me, I’m there. ”
