What happens when a deeply analytical, numbers-oriented trader with a keen memory for details becomes a real estate agent? For Brian Behan, real estate broker with @properties, big things happened — and fast. A family man who settled in River Forest and began raising his kids there, Behan already had the instincts, quick thinking and genuine interest needed to make it in the Chicago real estate market. Once he got his license, the sky was the limit.
“My clients immediately feel calmer because I know my data,” Behan says. “I relate to their best interests and operate with that in mind, and I bring confidence and execution to each transaction.” A member of the National Association of Realtors and other organizations, Behan has quickly captured market share in his core area of River Forest and surrounding neighborhoods, with $27 million dollars in volume year to date and a “best month” in April of $8.2 million. But if you ask Behan, the motivation is not just about closing the deal, but bringing authenticity to his craft.
“I want to make this fun and easy for clients, but I’m process-driven,” he says. “Staying true to what is best for them, but also playing that numbers game is what motivates me and makes it fun.” Behan says his edge is found in diving deeper into analytics than other agents might. “This leads to accurate pricing and quick sales, but also to winning bidding wars and negotiating the right deal in any market.” Walking clients through the process from staging to close, he never misses a beat or a detail.
Behind Behan’s critical thinking and no-nonsense approach, there’s an active, involved spirit that he pours into community organizations, sports and activities, and most of all, his wife and two daughters.
“I know my stuff, and I am dialed in to this community,” he says. “Clients hire me because I’m exactly what they need.”
