Last year was a very successful year for Aaron Wise, Vice President of Mortgage Lending at Guaranteed Rate Affinity. He had a career-high in units, in volume, and was recognized by the company as a President’s Club member due to his 2020 achievements.

He started his career working with a mortgage company that provided tuition reimbursement so he could take more tech classes but then just kept on working with mortgages because it seemed like an easy and natural fit, he says.

He’s been successful ever since.

With exactly two decades in the business, he says the key is to spend as much time setting up the process as needed, as well as making the borrower feel both comfortable and confident.

“It’s easier to go through the process when the borrower knows the expected steps of that process. Knowing the next steps eases their stress, 100%,” he says.

Wise says it’s his ability to listen, to simplify the process into easy-to-understand steps, to relate to what his clients are going through and always being available that makes working with him different than other lenders.

Giving back is important to Wise, and donating to both Hope For The Day and the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless is extremely important to him.
