The Brigham Team

Union Home Mortgage

Jeff Gilliana, Loan Officer Assistant

Karoline Axler, Production Manager for Chicago and Park Ridge

Tim Brigham, Branch Manager for Downtown Chicago and Park Ridge

Tim Brigham, Karoline Axler and Jeff Gilliana would rather clients know every detail of what to expect throughout the lending process than be surprised when it takes an unanticipated turn. Combined, they bring well over 30 years of experience, knowledge and compassion to the client experience, making it easy and enjoyable for all involved.

“Reputation is how we live and die,” says Tim Brigham, branch manager of the downtown Chicago and Park Ridge offices of Union Home Mortgage. Even though he’s achieved incredible success over the course of his 18-year career, he still prides himself on making raving fans out of every single client. “We want our clients to brag to their friends about how awesome it was working with our team.”

Obsessive about details, Brigham and Axler are always planning for the what-ifs and thinking seven steps ahead in the process. “These aren’t deals; these are people’s lives,” Brigham says. “Repeat clients and referrals can only be earned by showing them the utmost respect and professionalism and treating every deal like it were for my own family.”

Friendly and personable, Axler is mindful of clients’ time and straightforward about the process. “Each time we need something, I make it clear why it’s needed and by when while patiently answering all questions along the way,” she says. “This approach truly creates the best relationships.” Even after the loan closes, clients know she is always available to answer questions or refer them to someone who can.

Outside of work, Brigham is often found volunteering with his fellow costumed superheroes, visiting patients at local children’s hospitals for his nonprofit, the Superhero Collective. Once COVID-19 concerns subside, the organization will be donating a newly renovated home to a family in need. Brigham becomes emotional every time he thinks about the team of volunteers who helped demo the old house in just four hours to make way for a better life for a family they’ve never met.
