Gabriel Gomez, Home Lending Advisor

Chase Bank

Even after four years in home lending and another seven as a bank branch manager, Gabriel Gomez still finds it hard to believe that after immigrating to this country with just $5 in his pocket, he’s able to lend millions of dollars a year to homebuyers. “It’s such an honor for a Latino immigrant like me to be able to help hundreds of clients make their dreams come true,” he says. “And being named one of the top Latino lenders in the country beats almost anything else I can remember.”

Gomez’s prior career as a retail branch manager at Chase Bank aided him significantly when he segued to home lending. “It helped me in many ways, especially seeing that, as a home lending advisor, I am not just a salesperson, but also a partner in making dreams come true for my clients,” Gomez says. “I went through the lending process myself and realize that it’s truly a blessing to be able to help somebody else make their dreams come true.”

A member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Gomez has received Chase Bank’s National Achiever designation, its highest award for any sales job in the organization.

Passionate about customer service, Gomez works tirelessly to get the best deal for his clients. “I honestly think that just caring for my clients is the one trait that sets me apart. I fight for them to get them the best deal and make things work in their favor,” he says.

A true team player, Gomez recognizes and celebrates his colleagues often. “Staying humble and learning from my colleagues has definitely helped me,” Gomez says. “I keep learning and keep an open mind to anyone willing to give me feedback.”

An ardent fan of soccer, boxing and working out, Gomez also enjoys going out to dinner with his family, especially when the cuisine is from his home country of Peru.
