Sheena Baker, Residential and Commercial Broker

CarMarc Realty Group Inc.

Just 19 years old when she purchased her first home, Sheena Baker soon became the go-to person for friends and family with questions about real estate. After 15 years as a payroll and human resources information systems professional, she decided to focus on real estate full time. “My prior career was very tech-forward and required great attention to detail, critical thinking and creating process improvements,” says Baker. “This helps me significantly in how I run my real estate business today.”

With a background in human resources, it’s no wonder that Baker embraces a personal touch with her clients. “Clients are not just a number in our office,” she says. “We want to know them on a deeper level.”

Now a 14-year veteran of the real estate industry, Baker has received numerous awards and recognitions for her stellar performance and customer service. She was selected in both 2019 and 2020 as the Illinois Realtors’ state legislative contact for Karina Villa, the 49th District state representative; designated as a She Rocks It honoree in 2019; and listed in Chicago Agent’s 2016 and 2019 Who’s Who in Real Estate series. Baker also won the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce 2018 Aspiring Entrepreneur award, the CarMarc Realty Group’s 2018 and 2019 Platinum Top Producer awards, and the Women’s Council of Realtor’s 2018 Realtor of the Year award. Baker enjoys giving back to the industry and sharing her knowledge by speaking on panels and at industry events.

As a current member and 2017 past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors West Suburban and a current member of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce, Baker was selected as one of 12 Realtors to join the 2020 Illinois Realtors Leadership Development Program.

Specializing in residential single-family homes, townhomes, condos and multi-units in the western suburbs, Baker most recently earned the Accredited Commercial Practitioner certification from the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors in 2019. Her continued success has given her the opportunity to open a satellite location in downtown Aurora and hire a full-time office manager to support the growth of her business.
