Real estate has always been Kobi Dvora’s passion. A broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, he learned the industry from the ground up, working side by side with his dad and brother in construction. Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, he settled down on the North Side of Chicago 26 years ago after serving for three years in the Israel Defense Forces.
His early experience in construction led Dvora to purchase half a dozen investment properties, both locally and in resort communities, while managing a moving company, a job he held for more than 21 years. “Working with clients who are in the middle of a stressful moving process has made me a more compassionate person. It also helped me gain an overall appreciation of Chicagoland and understanding of its neighborhoods,” Dvora says. “Over the years, I have developed a sense for where a client is coming from and work with that to develop a level of comfort and trust.”
Dvora represents buyers and sellers, from first-time to luxury, as well as investors in residential and commercial properties throughout the Chicago area. Patient and knowledgeable, he customizes his approach to meet clients’ expectations, knowing that investors want data analysis while traditional buyers and sellers need a more personal touch. Process-driven, he always does his homework and strives to develop a rapport with clients that lasts long past the initial transaction.
Recently, Dvora closed on a 102-unit property with multiple investors involved, which made the process very intricate and rewarding at the same time. A member of the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors, he does his best to pay it forward by mentoring young investors. Last year, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago recognized him with several awards, including President’s Circle, Commercial Leader and Office Leader. He was also recognized by Chicago magazine as one of the area’s top real estate agents in 2019.
Outside of work, Dvora enjoys activities that help him stay fit, such as surfing. He is happy to be living his dream life with his beautiful wife in the city he has come to know well.
