Rising to the occasion to meet any challenge that comes his way, Jordan Chalmers channels his analytical nature to point his clients in the best direction. A top-producing broker associate with Baird & Warner, Chalmers has nearly two decades of industry experience and has worked out of the Lincoln Park office since the beginning of his career.
A former pilot for Northwest Airlines, Chalmers joined the real estate industry full time in 2002. “Real estate was always something that I was interested in but was never able to do because I was traveling 15 to 20 days per month,” he explains, noting that his background as a pilot taught him how to maintain a cool demeanor in a stressful situation. “I consider it an important part of my job to use my years of experience to help keep my clients calm and make their transaction as stress-free as possible while paying attention to the details necessary to complete a successful transaction.”
Known for asking the right questions to better understand his clients’ needs and the factors guiding their decisions, Chalmers takes an individualized, process-driven approach. “I try to listen more than I talk,” he says. “It’s the foundation of my ability to give the best advice to my clients and work cohesively with my peers.”
Ranking among the top 5% of Baird & Warner brokers every year since 2004, Chalmers is also a Chicago Association of Realtors top producer in terms of volume, having earned the title last year.
Outside of work, Chalmers loves all things sports and recently renewed his passion for playing tennis after a long hiatus from the game. He and his wife, Meg, and their two kids are also the proud new owners of a 4-month-old cockapoo puppy.
