CrossCountry Mortgage

Maggie Mikaitis, Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Joe McBreen, Branch Manager

Having the right connections in real estate is crucial, and that’s certainly the case for Maggie Mikaitis and Joe McBreen, who co-lead the JMLends Team at CrossCountry Mortgage. After working on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, McBreen was recruited by a friend to join the mortgage division of a local bank. A few years later, McBreen recruited Mikaitis, who had worked at a real estate law firm, to take the position of his sales assistant. Mikaitis then worked her way up the ladder by processing loans, overseeing production management, becoming a licensed loan officer and eventually partnering with McBreen.

With a combined 35 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mikaitis and McBreen continue to grow their team and nurture their staff’s development through extensive training. “Hiring people to assist with our success is very rewarding,” they say. “At the beginning of each year, our goal is to grow our team and loan volume production, and we have been lucky to achieve that milestone every year for the past four years.”

Continually ranked among the Scotsman Guide’s top 200 loan officers in the country, Mikaitis and McBreen’s extensive experience in the industry gives them the ability to find unique solutions to all types of lending scenarios. “Our success comes from product knowledge and expertise,” they say. “We set expectations for our team and our clients upfront so that all of us can have a positive lending experience. We can close very quickly if our team and client are on the same page and communicate openly throughout the lending process.”

Licensed as loan officers in all 50 states and offering conventional, FHA and VA loans, Mikaitis and McBreen specialize in investment property financing. “The biggest compliment our clients can give us is trusting us to grow their real estate portfolios through the years,” they say.
