After almost three decades in the mortgage industry, loan officer Angelo Lurgio has learned that the customer is always right when it comes to setting the pace of the lending process.
“My business style is: your transaction; your timeline,” he says. No matter how fast or how slow his clients want to take it, Lurgio is sure to get it right. “I remember the smallest detail on every transaction. Details make the difference in making it all work. No problems — just solutions.”
Lurgio specializes in helping first-time homebuyers and managing the intricacies of complex transactions. He works hard to understand what his clients’ unique needs are, and then tailors a solution to accomplish the goals they have in mind. “I listen, then let the borrower know how to get it done,” he says.
But more than his pace or skills, perhaps the most important tool Lurgio brings to the table is his vast experience in the industry. He has virtually seen it all and is ready to tackle any hurdle that gets in the way of an efficient closing. “When a loan comes to me that was turned down by someone else and I am able to get it done, that speaks for itself,” he says.
Nearly all of Lurgio’s business comes from past clients or those who have been referred to him by his client base or business partners. Part of the reason for this is because Lurgio is not part of a larger team, so borrowers know exactly who they’re going to get when they reach out to him. “When you call, you always get me,” he says.
