Real estate is the only career Aparajita Leekha has ever known. A broker with her family’s business, Property Economics, Inc., she works to assist first-time, move-up and luxury buyers — as well as investors and downsizers — with their property purchases. “I can help them find condos, townhomes or single-family residences,” says Leekha, who services the Schaumburg, Palatine, South Barrington, Buffalo Grove and Naperville areas. “From big to small, I find it all.”
Consistently ranked by the Chicago Association of Realtors in the top 1 percent of agents in terms of production, Leekha also earned Five Star Professional’s agent award — granted to a select group of real estate professionals rated highest in overall satisfaction by clients, peers and industry experts — in 2018.
Upon meeting Leekha, there is no denying her positivity and charismatic personality. She cares about her clients like they’re family. “I owe my success to my big-picture thinking and the fact that I value long-term relationships with current and past clients,” she says. Her clients appreciate knowing that their needs are a priority, which has translated into a robust referral business. “Real estate should be about great customer service, strong relationships and finely tuned negotiating skills — it’s so much more than just buying or selling a home.”
Leekha also has a great deal of empathy for clients. “Home is a feeling,” she says. “I put myself in my clients’ shoes. They are not just a number to me or another transaction. I think about how I’d like to be treated if I were buying a house, and that’s how I treat them.”

Fluent in five languages, Leekha is a vegetarian and enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her two boys.
