Nick Libert turned 40 this year, but even more significant milestones are occurring at his company EXIT Strategy Realty, which he founded in 2009 and where he serves as owner/CEO. Earlier this year, EXIT Strategy Realty crossed the threshold of 200 agents across its three offices — the flagship location in Bucktown as well as two satellite offices in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. It also became EXIT Realty International’s No. 1 office in the U.S. for both sales volume and number of units out of the franchise’s several hundred locations, and recognized as one of Inc. magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America for the second year in a row.
Key to the firm’s growth has been Libert’s focus on the financial health of Realtors. EXIT Strategy Realty associates have generated over $2 million in residual bonuses paid out from EXIT Realty International. They have also surpassed the $1 billion mark in cumulative sales volume this year.
Libert wants agents to focus not only on sales volume for others, but also investing in real estate for themselves. His own side business, Nick Libert Development, has been successfully rehabbing bungalows on the city’s northwest side. Through the office’s Investor’s Club, Libert has brought in his own contractors, lenders, architects and attorneys to show the firm’s agents how to do the same investing for themselves.
Recognized for the sixth year in a row as a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer, Libert continues his learning-based philosophy as a Level 3 student of the intense CORE coaching program for Realtors, and he recently became a Certified Mentor for the Brian Buffini Peak Producers program. He also holds the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) and CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist) designations and has been named to the Million Dollar Guild by the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing for his success in the $1 million-plus bracket.
Libert serves on the Board of Directors of Illinois Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors, and emceed the sales awards for both associations. This spring he worked with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Chicago and raised over $29,000 for the organization’s efforts to eradicate blood cancers. He continues to stay focused on physical fitness, running several races with EXIT Strategy Realty agents this year.
