His clients are diverse: first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, refinancers, investors and corporate clients. He provides employee benefit programs for several large corporations with offices located across the country.
Over the past three years, Ben Cohen has been recognized among the top 10 loan originators in the country by Mortgage Executive magazine. He is a member of Guaranteed Rate’s Chairman’s Circle and President’s Club. He was also voted 2017 Best Loan Officer in Illinois by the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association.
Cohen is available to clients 24/7/365 and strives to respond to emails and phone calls within minutes. “My clients know I am available to answer any questions they have,” he says.

In fact, over the years, Cohen and his team have regularly helped “rescue” deals that weren’t working out with other lenders.

For Cohen, the best part of helping a client close on their home is hearing the excitement in their voice. “Knowing that I helped them achieve their goal of homeownership and made them feel comfortable during a stressful process makes it all worth it,” he says.
In his free time, Cohen is passionate about giving back. He supports the Jewish United Fund, the Guaranteed Rate Foundation, community food drives and various other local charities. He also enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and three children. “With the support of my team and my family, I am excited to continue gaining new friendships and growing my business,” Cohen says.
