Melissa Govedarica understands what it means to learn by example. The knowledge she can impart is as invaluable as it is extensive. Govedarica’s vast experience includes luxury property sales, new construction transactions and off-market land acquisitions. Her portfolio of work is so diverse because, as she puts it, “I love all aspects of real estate and I find my career fulfilling in so many different ways.” And while she is currently executing several large land deals for redevelopment and future property sales, Govedarica says no opportunity is too small. She dedicates equal time and energy to all of her clients, even as she candidly communicates with them to maintain her integrity. “I’m honest and truthful about market conditions and I’ll tell clients the truth even though it may not be what they want to hear.”

A three-time recipient of the Chicago Good Neighbor Award, Govedarica is also a founding member of the National Association of Realtors’ Green Designation. She educates her clients on issues and trends related to green real estate, and her leadership in creating the Green Designation is indicative of her innovative approach to her career, and her desire to make a significant contribution to the industry.
