With mortgage standards as tight as they are, a personal approach to the lending process has never been more important, and it is in this regard that Kiki Calumet and her loan coordinator, Heather Chymka, excel with A and N Mortgage Services.

The two have always been very personal in their approaches with clients. “I know that getting a mortgage these days requires a lot of patience and an enormous amount of documentation, which can be tedious,” Calumet says. “Walking clients through the whole process, and letting them know I am there with them and that they are not just a number, is important.”

One reason this team is able to provide such thorough assistance is their mastery of the mortgage process, particularly in the most recent regulatory changes after the 2008 credit crunch.

“Because of the changes in the industry, especially with the fallout after 2008, it is more important than ever to know the mortgage process inside and out,” Chymka says. “Therefore, we study new guidelines and stay on top of everything in order to keep our clients properly informed.”

In addition to her mortgage business, Calumet is also very engaged in various charitable organizations, including Girls in the Game – which provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities to young girls through health education and leadership development – and A Sister’s Hope, which raises funds for breast cancer research.
