Grace Goro Kaage joins Compass as managing director

by Emily Mack

Compass Illinois has greatly expanded greatly throughout 2021. And now the real estate technology company is welcoming Grace Goro Kaaage on as managing director. In that role, Kaage will oversee further growth across Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Minneapolis. Coming from a long line of local real estate professionals — her father Chuck Goro was a successful managing broker for Coldwell Banker — Kaage deeply understands the Midwest market.

In addition to that very personal history, Kaage has also served as the designated managing broker and vice president of sales for @properties’ offices in Streeterville and the Gold Coast. Over the years, her work has been recognized with the Chicago Association of REALTORS President’s Award as well as the Community Service Award for philanthropic efforts. In 2018, she was named among Crain’s Most Influential Residential Realtors in Chicago. She’s also written for Chicago Real Producers and Chicago REALTOR Magazine and served as chair of the Chicago Association of REALTORS’ Young Professionals Network Advisory Board. Kaage even started her own charity, the non-profit Prostate Cancer League.

Now, Kaage is excited to bring her varied wealth of experience to Compass. “The real estate industry is rapidly changing, and agents today deserve a brokerage that’s willing to invest in the technology and resources necessary to provide exceptional service to clients in this landscape,” she said. “Compass is that brokerage… No other company is reshaping the real estate industry by using technology to make people better, rather than replace them, and it’s resulting in stronger relationships between the agent and the client. That’s an evolution I knew I needed to be a part of and one that I could positively impact.”

Kaage’s new position at Compass will be based in Chicago, with duties focusing strategizing further growth in the North Central Region.
