The transition to selling real estate was a natural one for Martha Harrison. Her lifelong love of homes meshed well with her desire to help people. As an agent with @properties, she helps buyers and sellers from start to finish with one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of their lives.
Harrison has lived in Geneva for 15 years, catering primarily to buyers and sellers in the western suburbs. She possesses an extensive knowledge of the local markets and is just as comfortable discussing a single-family home sale as she is educating a buyer on the intricate details of purchasing land for an equestrian facility. She got her start in real estate with d’aprile properties, earning top producer status in her first year there. In January, she joined the @properties St. Charles office.
Harrison has the ability to connect with people early on and always takes clients’ key objectives to heart. She knows that real estate transactions can often be daunting for everyone involved. To those with whom she works, her listening skills have made all the difference. “A real estate transaction has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my client, so it’s important that I put them at ease quickly,” she says.
When it comes to rising above the competition, it’s simple for Harrison: She loves the work she does and never takes it for granted. “Much of my business comes from referrals from past clients and industry colleagues. In order to garner consistent referrals, an agent must go above and beyond with every transaction,” she says. Harrison is a proven problem solver who treats every client with the same level of respect and dedication.
In her free time, Harrison enjoys volunteering at Geneva High School as the board president of the parent-teacher organization. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and 16-year-old daughters in the sunshine and on the water at their family home in Lake Geneva.
