After graduating from DePaul College of Law and having previously worked as an apparel buyer in Boston, Anne Fan knew her background would serve her well in the real estate industry.

By bringing a mix of business and law to the industry, Fan has become an expert at working with a wide variety of people. “Clients like working with me because I have a lot of patience and I don’t push them toward a property,” she says. “I am more interested in finding them something they are comfortable with and establishing a long-term relationship.”

Having been in the industry for seven years, Fan is now a senior broker for Compass and a team leader and founder of Fan of Luxury. She serves clients throughout Chicago with a focus on investment, residential and commercial sales. In addition to her leadership role, she continues to build her own book of business — in fact, some of her clients having been with her throughout her entire career.

Over the past year, Fan has celebrated several major business accomplishments and is proud of her ability to maintain long-term clients. One of her previous clients, who had come to her initially to rent out a $2,500 unit, returned to her a year later with a loft they wanted to list for sale for more than $1 million. Thanks to her overall success, Fan continues to build out her team.

Fan is fluent in Mandarin and sits on the board of directors for the Chinese American Service League. She is also a certified mediator at the Center for Conflict Resolution.

Outside of work, Fan takes the time to explore the neighborhoods she serves. She enjoys trying new restaurants and getting to know new local businesses. Fan also enjoys traveling abroad to bring back a new perspective to her work.
