Mike Machlet has opened RE/MAX Liberty in Elk Grove Village, which marks the newest RE/MAX location in the Northwest Suburbs.

Machlet began his real estate career right out of college, at age 23, at CENTURY 21. In just four years, he became the No. 2 sales associate in an office of roughly 60 agents. At that point, Machlet made the decision to leave and join RE/MAX — that was over 25 years ago.

After spending over two decades with RE/MAX, Machlet’s Elk Grove Village office declined to renew its franchise agreement in late 2023. So, Machlet opened his own, new RE/MAX franchise, retaining a brand presence in that area.

Today, Machlet leads RE/MAX Liberty as broker/owner.
