This Chicago street ranks among the world’s most beautiful

by Emily Mack

Chicago is a city defined by its skyline and its lake. So, it probably comes as little surprise that DuSable Lake Shore Drive made Architectural Digest’s ranking of the most beautiful streets in the world.

Highlighting 71 streets total, the publication listed LSD, as the locals call it, at No. 40.

In addition to the picturesque cityscape and water views, Architectural Digest cited the roadway’s easy access to tourist attractions like Grant Park, Museum Campus and Soldier Field as reasons why “DuSable Lake Shore Drive is the perfect way to take in the Windy City.”

Totaling 18 miles, the scenic street also runs parallel to the Chicago Lakefront Trail, which includes a walking and bike path, making it a truly diverse travel option.

Topping the list was the Old Town area of Colmar, France while streets in Brooklyn, New York, San Francisco, Boston and Miami all cracked the top 40.
