The MG Group joins COMPASS after nearly 20 years at BHHS Chicago

by Emily Mack

The MG Group, led by Mario Greco, is leaving Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago (BHHS Chicago) after nearly 20 years.

A press release from the company called this parting of ways “an amicable separation” as the MG Group prepares to affiliate with COMPASS. They will be based out of the firm’s Lincoln Park office.

“Mario and his team have done thousands of transactions and billions in sales with BHHS Chicago, and we are proud to have worked together to help so many people with their Chicago real estate goals,” BHHS Chicago President Mark Pasquesi said.

Greco also spoke fondly of his time at BHHS Chicago. “Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago has been incredibly supportive of me and my Group since the days of Rubloff Residential Properties through the present,” he said. “The firm’s leadership’s professionalism, agent-centric support and high ethical standards for brokerage operations created an amazing environment for us to do market-leading volumes of business and help countless Chicagoans achieve their housing dreams.”

Speaking to Chicago Agent, Greco described mixed emotions. “I’m going to miss everyone at Berkshire. We had a great run and I know we would have continued it. But the next step for us is COMPASS,” Greco cited the firm’s technology platform and growing market share as factors in his decision.
