The Illinois-based lender Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. has announced that Matt Rohl, an industry veteran, is joining the company as senior vice president of community reinvestment act (CRA) development and emerging markets.
In the position, Rohl will increase the company’s lending services in areas that are low-to-moderate income and majority-minority areas, upholding the lender’s obligations under the CRA. This will include expanding loan programs, conducting community outreach and recruiting new officers.
Rohl has been in the mortgage industry for 29 years. For more than two decades, he served at the mortgage insurance provider Radian, eventually becoming divisional vice president there.
“I’m excited to be taking on this important work and to be joining such a well-regarded company,” Rohl said of his new role at Draper and Kramer.
Speaking in a press release, Draper and Kramer CEO Paul Lueken also expressed his excitement. “[Rohl] been a recognized and respected member of the industry for years, and we’re looking forward to benefiting from his talent and expertise.”
