Matt Silver

Illinois REALTORS® Treasurer Matt Silver has received the organization’s Political Involvement Award, recognizing his political and grassroots achievements. The honor was announced on March 29 at the Illinois REALTORS® Capitol Conference in Springfield, and the Chicago-based Realtor was among three recipients. The others are Steve Myers, president and managing broker of Myers Commercial Real Estate in Springfield, and Mark Massey, a broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties in Edwardsville.

According to an Illinois REALTORS® press release, Silver was chosen for his work in Realtor advocacy at both the state and federal level. Silver currently serves on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors where he is the federal political coordinator, the state legislative contact and a member of the RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee. In particular, the press release notes Silver’s success as federal political coordinator by maintaining strong communication with his Congressional representative.

In addition to his work with NAR and Illinois REALTORS®, Silver is a partner and senior broker with Corcoran Urban Real Estate and past president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®.
