Looking into the crystal ball

by Will Mendelson

As 2020 comes to a close, we look forward to a new year that follows one in which we’ve all faced unprecedented challenges. Yes, 2020 has been an extraordinarily challenging one, but I always like to try and think of the positives. In fact, this is one of my personal goals — to try and find the good in every situation. And actually, I do think there’s been a good deal of positives this year. For one, 2020 has forced me to persevere, adapt to new situations and challenges and becoming mentally stronger than perhaps any year before. And I’m sure a lot of you feel the same!

We’ve all rebounded and faced adversity — just as the real estate market has. We perhaps haven’t seen a market as strong as this in recent years, and with a COVID-19 vaccine around the corner, there’s much to look forward to about next year. And in looking ahead to 2021, we’ve asked the Chicagoland real estate experts about their expert predictions — from a new presidency to COVID-19 (hopefully) being contained, what can buyers and sellers expect? I wish you all a happy new year and would love to hear about what you’re most excited about for the upcoming year. Share your thoughts with me at will.mendelson@agentpublishing.com.
