Chicago ranked 29th most expensive city for housing

RealtyHop reviewed the 100 most populous cities in the country to determine the affordability of each municipality, and found Chicago ranks in the top third.

To be exact, Chicago ended up No. 29 on the list with the median home price at $350,000.

The report added that the median household income in Chicago was $52,497.

The estimated mortgage plus taxes was $1,820.49, which makes up an estimated 41.61% of homeowners’ income.
