Managing Broker

Wayne Kouf has built a strong track record of sales growth and recruitment during an 18-year career in residential real estate brokerage. Prior to joining @properties, Kouf was managing broker at the Lincoln Park/Halsted office of Prudential Rubloff. He has also held management positions at two other independent real estate firms in Chicago, as well as the largest real estate company in Canada.

Kouf manages three offices for @properties (Gold Coast, Oak Park and Elmhurst) and more than 370 agents, producing over $1.2 billion in the last year. His responsibilities include transaction management, recruitment and training/coaching.

A native of Seattle, Kouf was vice president of sales for two large publishing companies before getting into real estate. In his first full year in the business, he closed over $15 million in sales. A short time later, he earned his broker’s license and was promoted to managing broker. He lives in North Center with his wife, Karen, and son, Ethan, and enjoys wine collecting, discovering new restaurants throughout Chicago and spending time with his family. He is an avid motorcyclist.

“I’m honored to receive this award. I have so much fun doing this job, I’d do it for free (shhhh, don’t tell my bosses). More than anything, I like helping people, and this job allows me to do that on a daily basis. None of it would be possible without the support of my staff and the other managing brokers in our company who lend amazing guidance and support. I’m sincerely grateful and humbled.”

Finalists:

Andy Shiparski, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage;

Patrick Ryan, Related Realty
