The developer-brokerage relationship is a symbiotic one. For local builders and local developers, the reach and resources of a larger brokerage are invaluable. The advantages are many: agents spend their time with clients, and can provide builders with insight into what consumers are looking for; brokerages have access to extensive networks of agents and potential buyers; agents get access to the latest new construction projects and custom homes.
In this issue, we looked a how three builders have teamed up with larger brokerages, how those relationships work, how they benefit both sides and their benefits for new home buyers. We also have a new look at the latest in virtual reality and drone technology in marketing new homes and a quick check up on key metrics and indicators in Chicagoland’s new construction market.
I’d also like to welcome our latest addition to our editorial staff: editor Rincey Abraham. Rincey brings with her a background in business writing and online publishing, and we are delighted to have her join the team.
