David Wolf, who for the last three years has headed Related Midwest’s residential brokerage business, has left the company for a new position with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

With Coldwell Banker, Wolf will have two roles: he will be the brokerage’s senior vice president of Chicago operations, and will also be president of the newly created development marketing division.

He will oversee the company’s luxury marketing direction for Chicago, in addition to assisting with onsite development opportunities across NRT’s markets across the country; NRT LLC is the parent company of Coldwell Banker. Wolf will have responsibility for and lead the six residential sales and five leasing offices in the city of Chicago, as well as the Harbor Country residential sales office in New Buffalo, Michigan for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

“I’m thrilled by the opportunity to leverage my experience in luxury brokerage, development marketing, sales and leadership, in partnership with an industry leader such as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage,” Wolf said. “Coldwell Banker’s impressive resources and its established international brand create a powerful force in this market, and I look forward to what we can do together for developers and top brokers in this city. There are exciting opportunities for onsite development across the country that we will be looking to leverage, as well.”

As we reported back in 2012, Wolf was initially brought on to oversee the hundreds unsold units in three South Loop towers – One Museum Park West, 1600 Museum Park and Museum Park Place South – that Related took over in earlier that year. From there, he oversaw the creation of Related Realty, the developer’s brokerage business, which now sells units in Related’s new construction efforts throughout Chicago.

Fran Broude, President and COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, spoke to Wolf’s experience.

“Chicago drives the local real estate market, with many of the highest-producing brokers working in the city,” Broude said. “David Wolf brings the right experience, knowledge and leadership to fully leverage the support and infrastructure that our company can provide to top-producing agents. His expertise in development, talent acquisition and management skills will allow us to grow our position as a leader this market, much like we are throughout the rest of Chicagoland.”
