We congratulate all of the 10th Annual Agents’ Choice Award winners and finalists including our very own Best Team winner, The Sheahan Group, and Managing Broker finalist Ruth "Drussy" Hernandez!

The Sheahan Group was started by Tim Sheahan who is a Principal/Partner at CONLON/Christie’s International Real Estate. Tim has been one of the top producing brokers in Chicago for the past 15 years and has successfully negotiated and closed over $875 million dollars in real estate. Tim Sheahan, Brendan O’Malley, Bridget Sheahan & Tim’s assistant Rene’ Dombrowski have all been working together since 2006.

Active in all facets of real estate, The Sheahan Group specializes in new construction development projects. The team represents a myriad of luxury developments in the most exclusive Chicago neighborhoods such as Lakeview, Lincoln Square, North Center, Roscoe Village, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast. In addition to sales they also consult clients on zoning, land acquisition, and design elements throughout the development process.

Ruth’s real estate career began with a small broker-owned company in 1984. Through the years she has gained great insight into the many levels of real estate. She believes in consistent communication while building long-lasting relationships with her clients. Her service-oriented attitude is evident in all the aspects of her real estate development. This client-focused approach has helped her in managing agents as well, prioritizing a comfortable team environment with the spirit of cooperation.

Ruth started off in the social work arena where she was able to use her compassion to assist families in turmoil. Her experiences in a child abuse unit, helping families reunite and dealing with these heartbreaking situations deepened Ruth’s sense of concern for the need of others. This drive to serve was most important in 2001 when she embarked on one of the greatest experiences of her life: the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. A sixty-mile-walk with many opportunities to engage others, to hear the success stories of survivors and some sad ones too. Yet, the sense of accomplishment at the end of the journey was overwhelmingly gratifying for the entire group. This has been the same sense of accomplishment Ruth has sought to gain from her experiences in real estate.

She shares this drive with clients and agents as well which has been the powerful force behind her real estate career. She loves her vocation and finds it to be a rewarding opportunity to serve the community while seeking to continue building on her experiences.
