Upscale buyers are a different breed of consumer, and their desires for their residences are outside the beaten path, as a new NAHB survey uncovered.
What do the affluent want?
That’s the question at the center of a very interesting new study from the National Association of Home Builders. Entitled “What Home Buyers Really Want,” the survey asked prospective homebuyers (of homes priced $500,000 and up) to rate what features they desired – or did NOT desire – in a property.
And then, of the 120 or so features, the NAHB narrowed the results down to the 10 most desirable, which are collected in our infographic below. So what do the affluent want? See for yourself:
