Managing Broker of RE/MAX Fidelity Angel Aguilar has recently opened his brokerage in the city's Northwest Side.

Realtors Angel and Antonio Aguilar are calling Chicago’s Northwest Side their new home, as the brothers recently opened their RE/MAX Fidelity office at 2137 N. Cicero.

The Aguilar’s and their team of associates will specifically focus on selling property in the neighborhoods of Hermosa, Avondale and Belmont Cragin.

Angel explained in a press release that they chose to practice in this area because of the lack of real estate brokerages it had.

“We picked this area for our new brokerage because we think it is underserved and will thrive,” said Angel. “We will bring these neighborhoods a level of real estate services they haven’t enjoyed previously.”

Angel, who serves as managing broker, joined the RE/MAX family in 2007. And since 2008, the Chicago Association of Realtors has ranked him and his team among the top 1 percent of agents in number of homes sold.

Angel hopes to build on that momentum as he and his team bring their expertise to the area, which he reports has seen an 86 percent increase in residential sales activity from 2008 to 2011. The median sales price for residential property in the three neighborhoods currently stands at $121,500.

As the duo settles into their new location, Angel explains that they hope to grow–he has a goal of hiring 10 new sales associates this year–while maintaining the team’s top priority.

“My staff and I love what we do. Money comes second,” said Angel.
