Weighing Employment Versus Self-Employment and Making the Leap

by Chicago Agent

Unemployment remains high in America despite political efforts to improve the stats, leaving a high number of people finding ways to make ends meet and a rising number of formerly employed turning to self-employment. The infographic below, produced by Lendio.com, digs deeper into the data to compare the risk of starting a business against keeping your day job. Entrepreneurship is not as glamorous as some people think, and in addition to the information below, we would add that there are additional factors to weigh, including the ability to commit time and resources and whether or not your personality type is equipped for self-employment (or heck, if you’re unemployable, you might not be suited for traditional employment).
