Born and raised in the Glenview/Golf area, Pete Mangione graduated from Glenbrook South High School and attended Purdue University, earning a degree in business management. In 2005, Mangione graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame earning a masters degree in business administration.
Mangione spent the first 14 years of his professional career working as the sales manager for his family’s plumbing supply company in Chicago, where he was responsible for working with plumbing contractors and developers on commercial and residential projects. It was during that time that he developed his love for real estate. Mangione has been working in the real estate industry to date with the goal of giving his clients exceptional customer service, educating them about the market and their options, and giving trustworthy advice.
“When I entered this business, I knew I was coming in at a time when the economy was not real strong. My challenge to myself was to worry about the things I could control and not worry about the things I could not control. Continually focusing on that, I knew if I was going to survive, I had to be the hardest working agent in the office. I also made a continuous effort to walk in every day with a smile on my face, no matter how tough things got. I hope my coworkers see me as someone who takes my job seriously and wants to be the best. Winning this award is a tremendous honor. I am so happy to have found a career that is fulfilling, challenging and exciting all wrapped into one. Thank you to my fellow agents, management and friends who have nominated me for this special award. Hopefully this is only the beginning!”
