Weichert, Realtors – First Chicago Broker/Owner, Ron Ruby, will participate in the “attempt” to break the Guinness World Record for the most high-fives in an hour at this year’s 10th annual Taste of River North.
Last year, the improv theater group ComedySportz attempted to break the high-five record. They managed 464 high-fives in an hour, which shattered the old record of 408. This year, they will attempt the feat again. According to a press release, this will be Ruby’s third time participating.
ComedySportz Theater is Chicago’s longest running improv show, now in its 24th year. The show is improv played as a sport, with a referee as a host and each team getting points based laughs and applause from the audience. The theater is located at 929 W. Belmont.
The Weichert agency will run a booth and provide information about real estate as well as a few “fun giveaways,” including $50 Nordstrom gift cards, Ruby said in a press release. The booth will be both family and dog friendly and will be hosted by agents and their own pets.
The Taste of River North is presented by East Bank Club and hosted by the River North’s Residents’ Association.
Located in and around sprawling Ward Park at 630 N. Kingsbury Street, the annual fest is a sampling of the best of the best that the trendy River North has to offer, including food, music and art.
