Builder Associations of Indiana’s Lake and Porter counties will merge to form the Home Builders Association of Northwest Indiana, according to posttrib.suntimes.com.
“With this economy, many of our members were having to make a choice between the two associations, which would have affected both associations,” board member Jamie Juarez tells the SunTimes. “By combining the two, we have a stronger voice with more than 400 members in one group.”
The combined association will operate from the former Porter County association’s office in Valparaiso, but may relocate to a more centralized location in the future. The former Lake County association’s office in Crown Point is now closed.
The Home Builders Association of Northwest Indiana announce the merger officially tomorrow, Thursday, February 24 at 5:15 p.m.
