According to ChicagoMag.com, Former Microsoft CTO David Vaskevitch has purchased a Streeterville penthouse owned previously by developer Dan McLean.

Sold on Jan. 27 by Koenig & Strey’s Michael Mazzei, on behalf of JP Morgan Chase, the property boast a 1,600 sq. ft. terrace with views of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. The listing price of the penthouse was $3.499 million, which came down from the original price of $4.89 million in late 2009.

McLean, known for development projects throughout the city, acquired the property in 2001 for $2.052 million from River View East, LLC, the arm of his MCL Companies that constructed the tower and its counterpart.
