My Own P’s

by Chicago Agent

Sometimes, it’s useful to be picky, and marketing is a great example. That’s why I’ve created my own “p’s” of marketing, with picky being the first. The rest are pompous, confidence gets you everywhere; perpetuity, look it up; paradise, because that’s where your clients want to live; and pickles, because I can’t get enough of them. Follow these examples when you start your marketing campaign and you’ll always prosper. If you have your own p’s of marketing send them to me at agentx@chicago.staging312.com with the subject line: “p-ing on marketing.”

On July 15, Fresh Horizon will introduce new ways to get agents’ buyers approved, and will also unveil their new Realtor Bonus plan at Quartino in River North from 4 to 8. Everyone who’s everyone will be there, so unless you’re nobody I better see you there.

Rick Levin’s auction of MCL’s MetroPlace on June 25 proved to be successful as all single-family homes and condos were sold. While there I spotted Kerry Dickson scoping out the joint – does this mean Related’s nearby Roosevelt Square is next? Coming up, Levin will auction off The Enclave at Brookmere and Pembrooke Townes in Matteson on July 28 with a 3 percent broker co-op on all properties.

Speaking of auctions, Sheldon Good and Company is now up for auction itself with bidding starting at $1.2 million – Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?

The popular restaurateur Jerry Kleiner has decided to open a bar at the Kerasotes theater that will open in November in Centrum’s mixed-use Roosevelt Collection. Nothing like a cold beer while watching a movie.

Keller William’s Lincoln Park office hosted a dinner on June 25 to celebrate the 20-day Challenge where KWLP agents made phone calls and collected over 2,300 contacts with 30 appointments for either listings or buyers. I’ve done that in 20 hours before, but good for them all the same.

WCR Chicago will host their next event at ParkView’s sales center on July 15 at 8:45 with a program on the diversity of tomorrow’s marketplace. Partial proceeds with benefit Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation. I guess today’s diversity isn’t as interesting?

Throughout the beginning of July keep an eye out for Fifth Third Bank’s Homeownership Mobile, a 40-foot bus that doubles as a classroom for credit counseling and homeownership assistance that will be traveling through Chicagoland. Sort of like a bookmobile without the books.

Come visit Chicago Agent at our hole at CAR’s Golf Outing on July 16 in Oak Forest. I’ll do my best to make sure they don’t let Theresa drive the golf cart – if you’ve driven with her you’d know what I’m talking about.

Jameson’s Brant Booker Team announced that The Clarovista in Edgewater has cut prices as much as 50 percent for the next 40 units sold. Which means they’re practically free, I should look into getting one of those for myself.

As always, a bunch of people are going to get older this month. Sherri Southall is celebrating on July 7, and Ken Dooly will party July 11. Kim Manning will enjoy cake on July 16, while David Valley will have to wait until June 21.
