Ryland’s new construction properties have really taken off in 2012 with Todd Condon, its sales manager, leading the way. Condon currently oversees nine subdivision locations throughout the western suburbs and manages a staff of 20 employees.
An 11-year veteran of the new construction industry, Condon has managed to increase sales volume in a challenging market. In 2011, sales rose 30 percent over 2010, and this year, sales are already outpacing 2011 by 24 percent. Those figures are only further asserted by Ryland’s Chicago Division, which recently ranked No. 1 in the company for buyer purchase experience.
“This really says a lot about how quickly we’ve adapted to changes in the market, while at the same time delivering an exceptional buying experience for our customers,” he says, adding that the versatility of Ryland’s approach allows for such a high level of client satisfaction.

The company is only looking forward, Condon says, who, interestingly, was a professional golfer before entering the real estate industry. He is currently interviewing candidates for sales positions as Ryland responds to its growth by launching new communities this year.
Condon and his wife, Jane, have a seven-year-old son who, in addition to his involvement in sports, loves looking at homes and drawing his own designs.
