Lifelong Walworth County residents Debbie Cobian and her son, Jakob, recently joined COMPASS, where they created Cobian & Company. Debbie, who is team leader, has been in the industry 25 years, while Jakob joined five years ago. The team consists of four other professionals who bring 20-40 years of real estate experience. “Our style of doing business is summed up quite nicely by our team slogan, ‘Less stress. More success,” Debbie explains. “Using our expertise, experience and, most of all, empathy, our commitment to our clients is to anticipate needs in an ever-changing environment.”
Specializing in residential, condo and commercial sales and rentals, the team represents clients in Walworth, Racine, Kenosha and Rock counties. Cobian and Company also covers northern Illinois, as Debbie is licensed in both states. Lake Geneva Regional News named Cobian & Company the Favorite Real Estate Team of Geneva Lake in 2022 and 2023.
Both Debbie and Jakob are members of the National Association of Realtors, the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the Lakes Area Realtors Association and Visit Lake Geneva. Voted Best Realtor of Geneva Lake in 2021, Debbie also belongs to the Heartland Realtor Organization in Illinois and supports Abundant Life Tres Dias of Rockford, Illinois, and Lakeland Community Church.
Referring to herself as a holistic Realtor, Debbie notes that she never stops learning and exploring what’s new in the industry. Jakob, who grew up around real estate, credits his mother for helping him discover the business for himself while serving as an excellent mentor and a valued teammate. “I’m blessed to have learned from the best!” he says.
