As a young girl, Vicki Tyne delivered newspapers throughout her neighborhood, which included knocking on doors for subscriptions. “Walking door-to-door got me interested in sales, as well as observing homes and how different families live,” Tyne remembers. “I truly enjoy walking into someone’s dwelling and finding the positive features that make that house a home.” Specializing in single-family homes for first-time homebuyers, older adults, multigenerational moves, military, and first responder relocations in Will County and the surrounding areas, this lifelong Will County resident grew up in Joliet and raised her family in Plainfield.
With strong negotiation skills developed over 20 years in sales, Tyne made the leap to real estate five years ago, when her young children went to school. “I believe my outgoing personality and drive to help people pushed me in the direction of real estate,” she says. “Customer service is my No. 1 priority, so I am very quick to respond when a client needs me.” Tyne is also certified in real estate staging, which helps provide more value to her clients.
Clients use words such as “seamless,” “persistent,” and “above and beyond” to describe Tyne. “I do as much research as I can about the client, the property or the details of what that client may need to create a custom plan for each client,” she says.
She consistently performs as a top agent in her brokerage. In addition, she leads many philanthropic efforts as the Good Will Ambassador for her Plainfield office, is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, serves as head chair for her local association’s YPN and continues to work with Relay For Life, which benefits the American Cancer Society.
Tyne is committed to mentoring other new agents while continuing to grow her own business. “My true accomplishment is having a career that I love participating in every day,” she declares. “I enjoy working with people and making their home investment experience a positive one.”
