Tiffany Matela’s favorite part of being a Realtor is meeting new people and forming new friendships. “It’s such a rewarding job,” she shares. “My job is not like work at all, because I absolutely love what I do!” The Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group Realtor lives and works in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband and three children, helping connect families in her community with their dream homes. Most of her business comes through word-of-mouth referrals. Matela has a knack for finding buyers off-market homes and helping sellers sell their homes pre-market. “At the end of the day,” she shares, “it’s an amazing feeling to help a family find their home or find the right buyer, to be able to orchestrate everything to ensure they get to the closing table and see them take that next step in their lives.”
Matela fell in love with real estate at a young age while touring historic homes with her mother. “I have just always loved looking at beautiful homes,” she explains. “I think that really helped foster my love of homes and architecture from an early age.” Her eye for decor and architecture helps her advise clients. When working with buyers and sellers, Matela seeks to understand their motivations and wishes. She believes the most important thing to do when meeting a new client is learning the ‘why’ behind their choices. “Price point, location, timeline, etc., are obviously important,” she says. “But when you get down to what’s driving their move, it’s helps to really understand their motivation so you can serve their needs even better.”
Matela primarily serves the Western Springs, La Grange, Hinsdale and Downers Grove areas. When she’s not working, Matela enjoys spending time with her family, walking around her neighborhood and playing sports like tennis.
