From a young age, Jenny Bustillo felt drawn to the exciting world of real estate. Her mother’s work as a property manager inspired her to take a job as a bookkeeper for a real estate company in California. “Working at that company showed me how awesome it was to get to meet new people and help them find the home of their dreams,” she shares. “I knew this was something I always wanted to do.” Years later, after a career in the corporate world, Bustillo moved to Chicago and decided to pursue real estate full time. “I have not looked back since,” she says. Bustillo explains that the flexibility and autonomy she’s found in her real estate career have felt especially freeing after the rigid nature of her corporate roles. She adds that the career transition has allowed her to take control of her schedule, pursue her passions and build a business that aligns with her personal and professional goals.

As a real estate broker at COMPASS, Bustillo has excelled. Her performance has garnered recognition from the Chicago Association of Realtors, who awarded her Top Producer awards in 2022 and 2023. Bustillo’s accomplishments are due in part to her outstanding customer service. Clients enjoy working with her because she is communicative, attentive and always available to chat with them, answering any questions they may have. Her quick response times set her apart. Despite her heavy workload, Bustillo prioritizes responding quickly to her clients and making them feel important and understood. “I work with a lot of buyers and sellers,” she explains. “And they are always telling me that I make them feel like they are my only clients.”

With her newfound flexibility, Bustillo has taken the opportunity to travel across the world. She’s also enjoyed spending more time with her family, her boyfriend and her son.
