Eric Hamilton, Branch Manager/SVP of Mortgage Lending

Rate

Eric Hamilton is a passionate, highly disciplined and business-focused individual who starts each day at 4:30 a.m. His dedication to work and commitment to productivity have proven to be a successful strategy.

Hamilton, branch manager/SVP of mortgage lending with Rate, has achieved Chairman’s Circle status at the company for three consecutive years and completed more than 250 purchase closings in each of the past 10 years. He also ranks in the Top 1% in America and 10th in units closed in Illinois by Scotsman Guide.

“I spent 14 years working in a real estate office through a marketing agreement,” he says. “I spent six days a week surrounded by Realtors and listening carefully to what they needed. My entire business was built using ideas other agents gave me on what they needed.” His biggest takeaway: Leverage value and focus on the client experience.

Throughout his 21 years in lending, Hamilton has earned a reputation for speed, efficiency, customer experience and transparency. His team is available seven days a week, providing clients with an instant response. “We’ve averaged under 12 days, from application to clear to close, the past two years,” he says. “Every email, text, phone call and communication in our process is choreographed to create a one-of-a-kind customer experience. We provide the perfect amount of technology and human touch.”

Hamilton’s business is fully self-sourced and comes from past clients, Realtors and financial advisors. He has built a strong reputation in the mortgage-lending industry, and as a result, many attorneys and Realtors refer clients to him when other lenders are unable to close deals. This is a testament to Hamilton’s expertise, efficiency and commitment to customer service.

Hamilton and his team not only focus on closing loans but also strive to make a positive impact in their community. One of Rate’s core values is “Grow for Good.” This past year, they sponsored Downers Grove’s “Concert in the Park” and honored a local veteran before each weekly concert. “They received a standing ovation, and we talked a little about their service,” Hamilton says. “Seeing the audience’s reaction was truly humbling.”
