Zipporaha Barlow, Realtor

Baird & Warner

Based in Baird & Warner’s Frankfort office, Zipporaha Barlow entered the real estate business seven years ago on the advice of her husband, who along with her brother-in-law, are her investment partners. He noticed how much she enjoyed the process of viewing and rehabbing properties with them.

She was a cosmetologist before becoming an agent, and she quickly saw how the communication and customer-service skills she developed over 25 years in that business would serve her in real estate. “Being in cosmetology helped me learn how to deal with different personalities,” she says. “I learned to be a good listener and be very detail-oriented. In both fields, you have to ask the right questions to know what your clients are looking for. Both fields are rewarding, in that you’re giving a person a new outlook on life.”

A real estate investor who owns more than 30 properties, Barlow has the ability to spot potential problems that might come up in an inspection. That, along with her firsthand experience rehabilitating homes, helps her provide a level of attention to detail that makes her buyers feel safe in their choice of property, whether they’re first-time homeowners or fellow investors.

Professionalism is Barlow’s goal, from her appearance to delivering outstanding client service through strong communication and accessibility. Whether working with buyers or sellers she’s only a phone call away. “I let clients know exactly what to expect, and from my experience on both sides of the deal, I can give them a level of comfort and understanding of the process.

To expand her knowledge and reach, Barlow recently earned her commercial real estate license, and is also licensed in Indiana.

Away from real estate, Barlow is never truly away, as she loves to design and decorate renovation projects. She also enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to welcome her first grandchild later this year.
