As a young girl, Vicki Tyne delivered newspapers throughout her neighborhood, which included knocking on doors for subscriptions. “Walking door-to-door got me interested in sales as well as observing homes and how different families live,” Tyne remembers. “I truly enjoy walking into someone’s dwelling and finding the positive features that make that house a home.” A broker with Baird & Warner, she specializes in single-family homes for first-time homebuyers; seniors; and military relocation in Will County and the surrounding areas. Tyne is a lifelong resident of Will County. “I grew up in Joliet, moved to Plainfield and, once I was married, decided to raise my family there.”
In sales for 20 years, Tyne made the leap to real estate three years ago when her young children went to school. “I believe my outgoing personality and drive to help people pushed me in the direction of real estate,” she reveals. “Customer service is my number one priority, so I am very quick to respond when a client needs me.” Her communication of choice is a personal phone call, but she tries to mirror her clients in their messaging. “If they send me an email, I email them back; if they text, I text them back,” she explains. “But there is nothing better than a face-to-face meeting or a phone call.”
Baird & Warner named Tyne to their Chairman’s Club in 2021-22. She is a member of Three Rivers Association of Realtors and received their Rising Star award in 2021. She belongs to the Women’s Council of Realtors, supports the American Cancer Society as an event lead for Relay for Life in Joliet, serves on the Baird & Warner Goodwill Works Committee and leads her office’s philanthropy efforts.
Reaching almost $8 million in sales last year as a solo agent, Tyne now mentors other new agents while continuing to grow her own business. “My true accomplishment is having a career that I love participating in every day,” she insists. “I enjoy working with people and making their home investment experience a positive one.”
