Year after year, Abby Powell continues to grow her business. For the past three years, The Abby Powell Group at Dream Town Real Estate has won Client Service Excellence awards from HomeSnap.

“We listen and we never want our clients to feel rushed into the process or making decisions they’re not comfortable with,” explains Powell, a licensed broker and the group’s leader. “It’s not about the sale. If it’s one or 100 homes we show you, we want you to feel comfortable and confident about it every step of the way.”

The team goes where clients go, with a focus on Chicago’s Northwest Side and Park Ridge — areas they either grew up in or currently reside in.

Powell started out in the industry by moonlighting as a real estate photographer. “A few years later, an old neighbor — who happened to be an agent — reached out and said she was in need of an assistant,” Powell recalls. “The stars aligned.”

Each broker brings unique skills to the team, Powell explains. Keehan gets clients’ questions answered before they even have a chance to ask them. Arger is an attorney and a sharp, fierce negotiator. Perostianis is a retired detective for the city of Chicago. “When it comes it comes to running comps, scheduling his clients or keeping track of the real estate process, nothing gets past him,” Powell confides.

Well known in the area, the team participates in chamber of commerce events and supports dog rescue organizations.
