A Chicago native, Wincy Mathew has loved real estate from a young age. She worked for 15 years as an information technology professional for Allstate, a job that taught her the patience and problem-solving skills she still employs today. Growing up as the daughter of a real estate investor, she used to tag along on visits to her father’s properties when renovations or updates were needed. That experience, as well as her own homebuying and investing journey, provided her with the firsthand knowledge she needed to excel in the industry for the past four years. She says her motto is, “What is done in love is done well” — and Mathew loves her career.
Working on the North Shore, in the northwestern suburbs and in Chicago, Mathew serves residential clients with a focus on single-family homes, town homes and condominiums. In addition to her own extensive background in property investment, she learned the areas she serves through careful study of market “comps” and trends. “My clients have said that I am thoughtful and intentional throughout the whole process without being overbearing and pushy,” she relays. “I am honest and knowledgeable and am open about my own personal experiences.” Mathew also possesses a passion for home design, allowing her to further qualify her clients by helping them envision the full potential of a home.
She had a successful past year, more than doubling her sales volume. She attributes her success to the relationships she cultivates personally and professionally — yielding a 99% referral-based business. When she’s not assisting clients, flipping homes or otherwise expounding upon her own real estate investment journey, Mathew is very involved in her church community and serves as an active church volunteer. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her two teenage boys and the family dog, Parker. A creative, as well, she likes to restore furniture and delve into all things home design in her spare time.
